A priest and minister were discussing how to observe the sabbath. When the priest said procreation is work, and is not allowed on the sabbath, the minister replied that’s not true.
“Sex is for pleasure, so you can do it whenever you like,” he said.
After going back and fourth they decided to get a third opinion. When they asked a rabbi,
“Is having sex work or not? Is it OK to have sex on the sabbath?”
The rabbi said sex is definitely not work and therefore is allowed on the sabbath. He explained,
“If sex was anything at all like work, my wife would have the maid do it.”
